1. About these terms

These terms apply to donations made through the /support checkout page at buyesi.org. By making a donation you agree to be bound by them.

Other Buyesi fundraising channels (such as GoFundMe campaigns) operate under those platforms' own terms.

2. Who we are

Buyesi Youth Initiative is a UK charity in formation and is also pursuing NGO registration in Uganda. Until registration is complete, donations received via /support are administered by the Buyesi team in line with UK charity and data-protection standards.

3. Who can donate

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must not be located in a country currently subject to UK trade or financial sanctions.
• Individual and corporate donors are both welcome.

4. Donations and payments

We accept donations in GBP only. Payment is processed by Stripe, our sole payment provider for this checkout. Stripe issues your receipt and manages card data end-to-end — we never see or store your card number, CVV, or bank account details.

Tiers available:

• £10, £20, £30 — as a one-off donation or a recurring monthly donation
• £140 Goat Guardian — one-off donation only (does not renew)

5. Recurring donations

You may cancel a recurring donation at any time via the link in your Stripe receipt or by emailing us.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — your last paid month runs to completion and no further charge is taken. We do not pro-rate refunds for part-used months.

6. The Goat Guardian (£140)

The £140 Goat Guardian is a one-off donation supporting a child in a Buyesi programme. In recognition of your contribution, we may send:

• a Buyesi shirt (UK addresses only; 4–8 week delivery)
• a Goat Guardian ID (format — physical or digital — to be confirmed)
• ongoing programme updates

The shirt and Guardian ID are discretionary tokens of thanks, not goods sold. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Shipping details and size are collected separately after checkout — please reply to our email when contacted.

International donors are warmly welcome to contribute, but the shirt is posted to UK addresses only during this fundraiser.

7. Refunds

The full policy is set out in our Refund Policy. In summary:

• charitable donations are non-refundable once processed, except at our discretion in cases of clear error (such as duplicate charges)
• the £140 Guardian tier is not refundable before or after any accompanying items are dispatched
• accompanying merchandise is non-refundable and non-exchangeable

8. Fraud and chargebacks

If a donation is reported as unauthorised or results in a chargeback, we will cancel any related recurring donation and retain transaction records for audit and fraud-prevention purposes. We may refuse future donations from the same account or payment method.

9. Intellectual property

The Buyesi Youth Initiative name, logo, photographs, text, and other content on this site are the property of Buyesi Youth Initiative. All rights reserved. You may not copy, distribute, or republish any part of our content without prior written consent.

10. No user-generated content

The /support page does not accept comments, submissions, or any other user-generated content.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version. For material changes we will notify existing donors by email.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
